Technology Details:
Construct-specific Real-time LAMP technology targeting p35S-cry1Ac, and cry2Ab2-tnos for insect resistance efficiently detects the target construct regions with the limit of detection (LOD) as low as 0.01%. It allows rapid on-site detection and identification of Bt events with target construct regions, where positive amplification is detected real-time during the progress of reaction as amplification and melting curves by the measurement of fluorescence. Real-time LAMP technology targeting p35S-cry1Ac allows checking for presence of four approved Bt cotton events, MON531, MON15985, GFM and Event 1, whereas assay targeting cry2Ab2-tnos allows specific detection of stacked GM event MON15985.
